Better Sound
I am a serious concert goer and really into live music. I see dozens of live shows per year at many different venues all over the southwest. The number one thing I expect when I see a live show is great sound. Not too loud, or too soft and I don't want the lead singer to drown out the guitars. A good sound engineer is what I really appreciate. Someone who can mix the music perfectly and knows the venue. So for me, this particular show was disappointing. In my opinion, this show in the forum was way too loud on this tour Journey and Theory Of A Deadman played a number of different venues including some stadium shows. There was too much distortion and in many of the songs you could not hear the vocals over the guitars or the drums. I think the sound engineer must have thought they were playing a stadium. I've seen both of these acts many times and they've always sounded better in the past. I saw Theory Of A Deadman three times when they played a residency at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas a few years back and they sounded great, so I know they can do better.
